🎤✨ Ever started a talk with "So, um, hi…" and felt the room drift away? This session is all about the two moments that matter most: how you start and how you finish. No experience needed!
In one session, you'll learn simple ways to grab attention, using a question, a surprising fact or a quick story. You'll also learn how to end with a line people actually remember. Then you'll put it straight into practice.
What to expect:
💬 Short, practical tips. No lectures!
👥 Give a one-minute talk in a small, supportive group
🔁 Get friendly feedback, tweak your opening or ending, and try again. You'll hear the difference straight away.
🙋 Optional chance to show off your improved version to the whole room
Coming on your own? Totally fine! Most people do. Our committee will welcome you and pair you up, and nobody has to speak to the whole room unless they want to.
Missed our first taster? No problem. This session stands on its own.
