- Hosted by Biophysics Society
Join UCL Biophysics Society for an evening at the Institute of Physics for a relaxed physics talk: The Science of Pasta (and My Small Contribution To It) with Dr Adam Clancy from UCL! And after spending an evening hearing about pasta, we’ll probably be hungry! So we’re heading to Pastation near UCL afterwards for pasta together! 🍝
The talk explores the physics behind pasta, polymers and soft materials, showing how surprisingly interesting physics can be found in something as everyday as dinner. No prior knowledge is needed, and students from all degree backgrounds are welcome.
If you would like to join us for dinner, please select the Talk + Pasta Ticket when booking this event. We’ll use the number of Pasta Tickets to reserve enough places at Pastation, so please only choose one if you plan to come for dinner.
The IOP lecture itself is free, but you’ll also need to register separately for the lecture through the Institute of Physics website: https://www.iop.org/events/science-pasta-and-my-small-contribution-it
