Yarn, Bees, and Charity: Join Knitting Society, UCL Voices for Children, and UCL Arts for Mental Health for our Fundraiser Collab ๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿ!

We are hosting a fun-filled fundraising event with all ticket proceeds going to The Honeypot Children's Charity who support disadvantaged children aged 5-12 who are caring for a parent or sibling. Honeypot provides vital services including residential wellbeing/respite breaks, outreach programmes, memory making days, grants, and year-round support for young carers. All ticket proceeds will be going to them so please join us in supporting their cause ๐Ÿ’›

We will be helping them make their popular Honeypot knitted and crocheted bees which are placed in the children's memory bags at the end of their annual residential respite break. KnitSoc will be providing the patterns and materials, attendees have the opportunity to make two bees: the first bee you make will be donated to Honeypot Charity

This means if you only make one bee it will be given to the young carers, if you make the second bee you can keep it! It is possible to make two bees within the allotted time if you have some basic prior experience, although total beginners who are learning from scratch should keep the learning time in mind. If you are a total beginner I would encourage you to join some of our free Wednesday weekly workshops beforehand!
