Join us for Nature and Conservation Society's flagship event, our annual Conservation Conference!

This year's theme is Conservation in a Connected World, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to conservation, and the diverse academic backgrounds of conservationists and climate policy makers. Find out how your degree at UCL opens up paths into conservation careers.

We will be hearing from four speakers about their journey into plant and animal conservation and the continuing intersection of these fields. We aim to frame conservation accomplishments as the fruition of multiple systems.

  • Join us Friday 13th March 6-9PM at the IAS common ground room, UCL south wing

What to expect:

  • UCL researchers discussing their unique entry into conservation and how these backgrounds continue to make progress possible.
    • Speakers
    • Dr. Rafael Chiarvalloti with a background in Anthropology
    • Prof. Fred Dick with a background in Experimental psychology
    • Prof. Paul Ekins with a background in Economics
  • Followed by a roundtable discussion
  • Afterwards, join us for a food and drinks reception and a chance to speak with other students and conservationists.
