Join us in Shoreditch Park for our welcome (back!) picnic and Sport's day!
We'll be meeting in the park at 2pm, and plan to start a school-style sport's day (think egg and spoon, three legged race etc) at 3pm. Contenders will be grouped into teams and compete together for silly prizes!
For those wanting to relax, we'll also have a more chilled picnic going on - please bring along snacks, extra blankets, games whatever! We'll have a volleyball for the courts nearby too :)
For climbers with previous outdoor climbing experience, we'll have some bouldering mats to try out the outdoors boulders. To ensure safety at this event, this will be limited to those with outdoor climbing experience only. (Don't worry if you haven't climbed outdoors yet and this is something you want to try, we'll run another trip to the outdoor boulders with teaching and supervision soon!)
Route to Shoreditch Park from UCL main campus:
- Take the Northern line from Euston station to Old Street station (~10 mins)
- From the station it is just under 20 minutes walk up East Road and then New North Road to the park :) (~20 mins)
Route from UCL east campus:
- Take the Central line from Stratford to Liverpool Street (~10mins)
- A short walk to Moorgate station (stop B) to take the 76 bus, to Mintern Street (stop XQ) (~20 mins)
- The park is just a short walk up the road!
