Brought to you by the UCL Student Jazz Society, we’re excited to present Jazz Jammin’, the ultimate weekly jazz event where you also have a chance to take the spotlight
Starting at 20:00, enjoy a fantastic performance by the talented members of the UCL Jazz Society setting the perfect mood for the evening. Then, from 21:00 to 23:00, the stage opens up for our jam session! Now you can kick back and watch the magic happen, or this is your chance to join in. Whether you’re an instrumentalist or a singer, no matter your skill level or background, you’re welcome to join the jam session and make some music with fellow enthusiasts.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned musician or just love listening to live jazz. With dimmed lights and a relaxed setting, Phineas transforms into the ultimate jazz haven.
So, grab your friends, your instruments, and your love of good music, and head over to Phineas Bar for a night of unforgettable jazz and fun. We can’t wait to see you there!

Please note that you must be over 18 to enter our bars and purchase alcohol. Please bring a valid proof of age (Driving licence / Passport) - Any non students must be signed in by a UCL student (one per student) UCL students must have a valid UCL ID. UK students are welcome with valid student ID.

If you're visiting one of our bars, familiarise yourself with our bar entry policy, designed to keep us all safe. Please note unless specified last entry is Midnight.
We want you to feel comfortable, safe, and at home when you're spending time in our bars or event spaces which is why we uphold a number of safety initiatives in all our bars including specific measures against spiking and harassment. All our bar staff have also undertaken Drink Spiking Awareness and Active Bystander training- Do I need a ticket to get in?
It's best to think of free bar event tickets as a way to register your interest rather than guaranteeing access. We recommend booking a free ticket as we use this information to work out if a venue will be near capacity and also to send you a reminder about the event nearer the time (and for no other marketing purposes). However, having or not having a ticket will not determine if you can access an event as we operate a first-come-first-served policy for accessing the bars, so if you are on campus – feel free to pop by and join in if there’s space on the night.
Using the ramp outside of 25 Gordon Street to access the ground floor, head through reception taking a left turn just before Gordon's Cafe. Using the first lift (not the second, double set of lifts), ride the lift to the third (3rd) floor. Enter Phineas using the doors on the right hand side.
