What would you like the Union to do?
To improve communications to students about how to better deal with laundry and subsequent problems with damp and landlords.
Why would you like to do this?
Many students (myself included) only have washing machines in private rented accommodation. It takes a long time to air dry things especially at this time of year where we try to not put our heating on a humidity rises. High humidity also has a negative effect on health. Having this facility, even if it costs money would be a useful resource for UCL students,
How will this affect students?
It will positively impact students by making life easier and fulfil the union's role of providing services to students. This will especially help the students struggling financially as they are much more likely to have poorer laundry facilities at home.
