What to expect at our Walk and Paint Session

Our Walk and Paint Session is open to all UCL staff and students and are designed to be:  

  • Beginner friendly (no experience is needed)
  • Low commitment
  • Inclusive and welcoming
  • A great place for making new friends  

Walk and Paint with ArtsUCL

Looking to take a mindful break in nature and get creative? Join us for a free, guided wellbeing walk through one of East London’s most peaceful green spaces with a relaxing art session to follow.

Start with a relaxing walk

Guided by one of our trained, passionate and experienced Park Champion Community Guides, we’ll take a gentle wander around the London Blossom Garden, the wetlands and Alfred’s Meadow. These areas are known for their natural beauty, incredible biodiversity and quiet atmosphere which is perfect for calm reflection and inspiration.

The join us for a painting session

After the walk, we’ll head back to Marshgate for a relaxed, inclusive painting session led in collaboration with ArtsUCL. Whether you’ve taken photos or simply been inspired by the sights, sounds and feelings of the park, this is your chance to creatively respond to the experience through painting. No experience is needed, this session is all about taking it easy, expressing yourself, and enjoying a moment of calm

Location:  Meet Outside Marshgate Building Main Entrance / Marshgate Building, 7 Sidings St, London E20 2AE

Walk Lead: Park Champion Volunteers, he will be wearing his pink uniform and ID

What to wear/bring:   Please wear clothing you feel comfortable in.  Bring a water bottle for hydration. 

Please note: You may not be able to join the walk if you are more than 10 minutes late to the meet point. Please make sure you give adequate time to get to the venue.
