We’re back in lockdown, and it’s starting to feel like March 2020 all over again. We were getting ready to start more safe face-to-face activity on campus in term two, but sadly plans are on hold.

This term, our sabbatical officers have worked tirelessly to secure improvements to your academic experience. They’ve lobbied UCL to make change, worked in partnership with UCL on important new initiatives, and worked with academic reps across hundreds of committees to communicate your feedback.

Ever since the coronavirus crisis started, we have worked closely with UCL in determining its policies and ensuring that students are centered in every decision that is being made. This has remained our focus over the past 10 months.

Earlier this term we opened applications for the UCL 2021 University Challenge Team. Hundreds applied, and after several gruelling selection rounds, we're pleased to introduce you to; Koshiro, Humaira, Hugo, and Max.

We've been working closely with colleagues across UCL in response to the Government announcement on supporting your safe return home at the end of term. Below is a copy of the email sent to students on 13 November, outlining what we know so far:

This week the first Policy Zone meetings of the academic year took place, with Activities Zone on Monday, Education Zone on Tuesday and Welfare & Community Zone on Thursday. Find below what was discussed, what policies were passed and some key highlights.

Thanks to all 4,242 students who voted in our Rep Elections this year. Here's the people you voted in to lead you in your halls, courses, faculties, your clubs and societies and as trustees. 

On Friday 16 October we paused in-person indoor society activity, defined as educational, so that we could clarify what affect the new Tier Two rules would have.
