UCL Women's Football Club is a fun yet competitive society that brings together students with an enthusiasm for and commitment to football! We welcome all new members to join, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player.
We have 4 teams - 3 competing in LUSL (London Universities Sports Leagues), 2 in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) League, and a 4th purely social team, ensuring that there are games every week as well as training to enjoy your love for football and to take a break from uni stress.
For our beginners curious to master the basics or those that are new to the sport, you are always welcome to join us at our training sessions on Thursday nights to get some practice! We hold formal weekly training sessions together as a club and do numerous volunteering and social events throughout the year.
SOCIALS: Join our Sports Night on Wednesdays! These take place at bars/pubs around UCL. Our Social Secs organize weekly themes which will be posted on our Instagram. Finish off the night by heading over to Scala with us and then making it to your 9am on Thursday morning ;) We also organize our Tour in the Summer where we all go on holiday together (past locations have included Hungary and Croatia) to celebrate our successful year!
TRAINING: Our training session takes place every Thursday, from 8:30-10 pm at Cantelowes Pitch, 234 Camden Rd, London NW5 2AU.
Anyone who is interested in joining the club is welcome to come along to a training session to get a feel for what it is like. Please remember to purchase the free taster membership in advance if you choose to drop in! Once you have committed, you must then purchase either the competitive membership (£75 for access to matches + trainings + socials) or the social membership (£40 for access to trainings + socials) in order to take part in all of our fixtures and fun events!
MATCHES:
- Our 1s play in both LUSL & BUCS. Matches happen on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.
