Whether you’re new to badminton or a seasoned player, our club welcomes players of all skill levels! We believe badminton isn’t just the fastest racquet sport (yes, shuttlecocks can reach speeds of 493 km/h), but also the best way to meet new friends and bond over a shared love for the game! As UCL's OG Badminton Club 👀, we make sure you have a no-frills, exciting and enjoyable experience both on- and off-court! 🙌
🏸 Social Membership (£55)
Looking for fun, relaxation, and a bit of a workout? 🔥We offer FIVE weekly social sessions, open to everyone! These sessions are the perfect opportunity to hang out with fellow badminton enthusiasts and play a few games while you’re at it. Our sessions are held every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Don’t forget, there’s also TeamUCL Leagues where you can compete against fellow students every Saturday! This starts 18 October 2025.
Tuesday (6.00 pm - 8.00 pm) - Somers Town Community Sports Centre
Saturday (1.30 pm - 3.30 pm and 3.30 pm - 5.00 pm) - Somers Town Community Sports Centre
Saturday (11.00 pm - 2.00 pm) - Bobby Moore Academy @ UCL East
Sunday (4.00pm - 5.30pm and 5.30pm - 7.00pm) - The Bridge Secondary School
The best part? We provide FREE shuttlecocks at every session. That’s right – unlimited shuttlecocks (we heard they’re branded) 😎, so you can smash away without worrying about running out. Booking courts in London can sometimes be tougher than your exams, but with us, all you need to do is show up and enjoy!

🏸 Competitive Membership (£80)
Things get a bit more serious here. If you're ready to take your game to the next level, you’ll need to earn your spot through our tryouts. As part of the TeamUCL High-Performance Programme 🏆, we’re proud to say that our Men’s 1 and Women’s 1 teams compete in the BUCS Southern Premier Tier – the highest level of university badminton in the UK! We are one of the only two teams in UCL that has both Men's and Women's teams playing at such a high level. Recently, our Men's 2 has been promoted to Tier 1, making us the only London university with both Men’s teams competing in the Premier and Tier 1!
But we’re not stopping here. We are establishing a Women’s 2 team THIS year, and our Mixed team competes every Sunday in LUSL, so there’s always a chance to represent UCL in competitive play! 🎉
Only purchase the Competitive Membership AFTER you have been finalised to join the team for the 25/26 season!
