Sandali Narasinghe

Hi, I’m Sandali! I want to use this opportunity as Publicity Officer to continue to showcase this welcoming and talented society. K-pop society has been such a wonderful experience and I have met so many lovely people. It was mainly thanks to the promotion of this society on Instagram to push for me to join and participate and I would love to be able to do the same for others!

My experience as Publicity Officer in ASN and within CPS has helped me develop my organisation, teamwork and communication skills necessary to step up for this role. Having been a Publicity Officer before, I am familiar with what to do and am willing to learn and grow any new skills as well! I'm self taught in graphic design as it is a major hobby of mine and as such am competent in programs such as photoshop. I’ve been involved in a number of design projects over the years such as winning a logo competition for the RSC, designing my school's poetry booklet and, running a graphics account. I wish to continue to show my digital creativity and also to use all the social media platforms to fully represent K-Pop society and build engagement.

I would love to have the opportunity to represent this society in an aesthetic, visually-appealing and inclusive way and hope to continue to bring a sense of community. Thank you for taking the time to read this <3

Oliwia Eziah Miszczak

Hi hi, I'm Eziah, a second-year Engineering and Architectural Design student. I've been a part of K-Pop Society for the past two years, participating in a variety of showcases and events, and would love to become an even bigger part of this community by becoming the Publicity Officer. I have always been interested in editing and making visual art, and have had experience in creating various media forms, from short films and games to promotional artwork. As a previous UCL Media student and a current architecture student, I continue to grow and improve these skills too. I am also experienced in various useful programs such as the full Adobe Suite, Figma, and Canva.

As Publicity Officer, I aim to grow our online presence through engaging content and collaborations, ensuring that every member, from casual social event goers to dancers and vocalists, feels involved. I hope to attract new fresh faces to the society, overall expanding our community into one that is friendly and wholesome =)

Lily Tyler

Hey! I’m Lily 😊

I’m a second-year fine art student with a lot of visual design experience. I am well versed in Photoshop and Illustrator, and as those of you who made it to the K-pop presentation night will know, I can pull together some great trash-tier edits.

I would love to bring those skills to use for promoting K-pop soc,(actual aesthetic design skills, not just the trash-tier ones, I promise.), as I've had the best time being part of K-pop soc this year and more people should know about all the amazing things going on!

I also have experience in designing K-pop merch! I made my shirt for the NCT Dream concert 💚, and I’ve made keyrings, bouquets, posters, etc (Wish I could show you, it’s all v cute if I do say so myself). Making nice things for people who deserve it is the thing I'm most passionate about and I'm sure you're all aware of how lovely and welcoming everyone in Kpop Soc is, so I would most definitely put my all into making sure everything looks amazing for you guys✨.

Generally speaking, I'm a very time-conscious person, you will never catch me turning up late for anything if I can help it, so you can trust me to keep you all up to date with the latest info ASAP and on time.

In short, if I do become publicity officer I will keep K-pop soc looking pretty and the people well informed 😤.

Valerie Chan

Hi, I’m Valerie, an incoming Y2 student! I’m standing for publicity officer because I want to put my design skills to use as a member of K-pop society! I’m a very fast and efficient worker, and I have experience in design software like Figma, Adobe InDesign, Canva, Procreate etc. for both merch and flat graphics! (Samples here.) I can do several styles and I’m open to learning more depending on what the society wants!

I’ve designed merchandise for school clubs before, and I’m also good at time management and group work, having embarked on several team projects during the term both academically and outside of university. I’ve also worked as a graphics designer for some international K-pop fanbases, and I’ve been the design admin of a fansubbing group as well. I hope to be able to put my skills to use for the UCL K-pop soc <33

Sachi Lad

Hi! I’m Sachi and I’m running for publicity officer!!

I’ve had an amazing time in K-Pop Soc over the past 3 years, through leading pieces for showcases, dance classes and all the other fun events. I’d love to be able to contribute to the society that has made my uni experience so memorable!

Being Marketing Director for Tech Soc last year, I know how important time management, organisation and teamwork is when being on committee. I also know how demanding the posting schedule can be for this society (so many videos, covers and posts 🫣) and I’m dedicated to making sure I keep on top of things! I know what to expect in terms of things to post, and I have so many new ideas to make our instagram page more interactive!

hope to be your new pubs next year!! 💗✨
