Dearest Clubmen,

I'm writing this as I look ahead to leaving my time as a silly fraiche behind and, in the words of Max Lahiff, going into the breach once more for this club as a 2nd year. I wish to take on the mantle created by this year's committee and place myself up for election as vice-pres, with a firm belief I can fulfill all that this position requires. You can be assured that just as I will put my body on the line for UCLMRU at fight night, I will do the same outside of the arena as a reliable administrator. You do not have to worry about any diplomatic crises occurring with me as VP, and I will not ask you to say thank you as a certain Mr Vance may do. Having been in close coordination with fellow 1st year Callum Bonetti, I propose that I could be an excellent deputy and leader in my own right, and I ask for your vote of confidence on this matter at the AGM.

Owen Larder

I am eager to take on a leadership role to help drive the club forward, support its members, and contribute to its continued success. I would love the opportunity to work with the President, committee and team members to enhance the club’s operations, develop new initiatives, and foster a strong team spirit both on and off the pitch.

Rugby has played a significant role in my university experience, and I want to give back by ensuring the club remains a welcoming, competitive, and well-organised environment. Having already been an active and committed member of the club, I have seen the effort and passion to make this team special and I feel my leadership and team engagement skills will support me to manage the club's activities efficiently.

With previous experience as a business trainee, I understand the workflows and strategic planning required to lead a successful team. During this role I gained valuable skills in professional communication, budgeting and analytical problem-solving skills, which are essential for managing club operations. My ability to deal with new challenges and handle multiple tasks & deadlines will contribute to the club's growth.

If elected as Vice President,  I would dedicate my efforts to strengthen the club's presence within the university, ensure daily operations run smoothly and assist the President to reach all of the Club's goals.
