Hi, I’m Tricia and I hope to be your Vice-President next year! I enjoyed organising engaging socials and making new friends as this year’s Events Officer, and I hope to continue serving MedTech—this time through forging a stronger society identity with a greater leadership role.
Having been involved in most MedTech events this year, I’ve gained a deep understanding of what makes our society thrive. I will build on this by leading more events and organising interactive conferences, ensuring they become more memorable. I’m proactive, love a challenge, and take pride in showcasing events that reflect MedTech’s excellence. I look forward to collaborating with a team of like-minded individuals to connect members with leaders in the MedTech industry.
From previous events, it’s truly the new friendships forged that create a strong community that members look forward to returning to. I’ve made valuable connections from various events like the Mentorship Programme and Games Afternoon, and hope that all our members could say the same too.
If elected, I would lead and collaborate with the team to organise socials to foster deeper connections. With a stronger sense of community, I anticipate more buzzing events ahead. I also aim to initiate more inter-society and university collaborations, expanding MedTech’s reach and fostering stronger partnerships for bigger and more impactful events for all. I am passionate about MedTech and hope you’d support me in leading the society next year!
Hi! I'm Lily and I'm excited to apply for the role of Vice President for UCL's MedTech Society - the greatest society of all let's be honest 🤪
As a second-year Medical Innovation and Enterprise student, my ambition is driven by a curiosity to explore the unique intersection where medical technology meets commerce. MedTech is an ever-evolving field with the power to transform healthcare, and I'd love the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the UCL MedTech Society’s vision for the next year.
Last year, I had the privilege of being HealthTech executive, where I gained invaluable experience in event organization, speaker coordination, and logistics. We had an incredible team and put together an insane lineup of speakers, and I'd love to guide next year’s committee in achieving the same—if not taking it even further! This year, I plan to stay in contact with key industry figures from companies like Pfizer and GSK, who unfortunately couldn’t attend last year, to ensure we continue building strong relationships with leading MedTech professionals.
Beyond my event-planning experience, I have strong communication and organizational skills that would allow me to collaborate effectively and support the President and wider committee. I'm highly motivated to expand the society’s reach, create engaging opportunities for members and enhance collaborations with industry leaders. I'm super excited about the opportunity to support the next year’s conference 🚀
Thank you!

Hello;) I'm Helena, a second-year Medical Physics student, and I hope to be your Vice President next year! This year, as Welfare Officer, I’ve loved being part of the MedTech community, whether it’s chatting with students at socials or hosting welfare drop-in sessions. Through this role, I’ve also seen how important it is to connect students with hands-on experiences, and I want to take on a more active role in initiating and managing these opportunities. Having worked in a multidisciplinary research team, I understand the value of collaboration and can effectively organise sub-teams within MedTech to keep events and projects running smoothly, making the society more exciting, impactful, and engaging for our members.
As VP, I want to bring new and creative ideas to the table, such as a MedTech Passport where members collect stamps for attending events to unlock perks like exclusive MedTech merch. I also plan to work with the Marketing Officer to create a MedTech Connections Hub, a website logging all speakers, industry links, and event insights, ensuring connections don’t end when the event does. To bring MedTech beyond UCL, I will reach out to medtech companies and research institutes to organise field trips, providing a more insightful way to explore different career paths. Ultimately, I hope to make MedTech a launchpad for fun ideas and meaningful connections in the field.

Hello! My name is Jane, I’m a second-year Medicine student, and I have been a part of the MedTech society since I joined the university. I have always had a profound interest in the field, but attending the events and conferences throughout these 2 years deepened my passion even further. Now that I am set to intercalate in Medical Physics next year, I would be honoured to join the committee on the mission of helping other students uncover their passion for the field.
I have been part of the RUMS Welfare subcommittee this year, and I have gained valuable experience in event organisation, including venue selection and catering options exploration. It also taught me skills applicable to any team or committee, such as professional communication, workload distribution and time management. I see myself as a hard-working team member, who is not afraid of taking on responsibility and who helps others in order to achieve the best results.
I am eager to apply my knowledge and passion to the role of Vice President. With a medical background, I can bring a fresh perspective, having firsthand exposure to clinicians and scientists who use technology in healthcare. I aim to strengthen society’s vision by bridging the gap between medicine and technology, fostering collaborations, and supporting initiatives that drive innovation in healthcare.
I’m very excited for next year in the society and I would be happy to play a role in making it so for other members!
I appreciate your support!
