Angelina Niu

Hii, I'm Angelina, a proud member of UCLWFC for the past year!

Although I only started my football journey at uni, our club's warm and inclusive atmosphere has been a major highlight of my university experience, and it has made me love football more than I ever expected. I’ve been deeply touched by how everyone supports one another here, regardless of the teams, creating a space that truly feels like one big family. This experience has inspired me to run for Welfare Officer next year, as I genuinely care about people and want to help maintain the supportive vibe that makes our club so wholesome. I'm approachable and easy to talk to—so please feel free to come chat (or just yap about anything) anytime. I promise to be a great listening ear.

I also plan to host exciting team bonding activities and create various channels for our members to have their voices heard. Everyone is important!

I'm deeply grateful for the experiences I've had here, and I look forward to contributing even more to our big, awesome family.

Thank you for considering my nomination!

Charlotte Curtis

Hi everyone, I’m Charlotte, and I’m running to be your next Welfare Officer! I’m new to football (playing for the 4s) and when I joined UCL, I was drawn in by how welcoming UCLWFC is. Since then, I’ve had such a great time and would love the chance to help maintain the club’s friendly, inclusive nature, promoting wellbeing for everyone - whether you’re a seasoned player or new like me!

Why me?
Last year, I spent six months as an LSA, supporting two SEN kids. This role taught me about the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels comfortable and understood. I know everyone’s needs are different and I’m committed to ensuring the club stays a space where all members feel supported, included and valued.

One of the kids I worked with came from a difficult home situation, so I became familiar with safeguarding procedures and handling sensitive information. I hope this makes me a trustworthy point of contact for any welfare concerns, big or small.

I’ve also been a regular at Wednesday socials (and plan to keep that up!), so I’m hoping my familiar face will make me approachable too.

What would I do?

  • Work with social secs to plan wellness-focused activities (movie/games nights, non-alcohol socials - open to ideas!)
  • Share resources and tips to promote mental and physical wellbeing
  • Create a space for anonymous concerns to bring to the committee

I’m really passionate about making sure everyone feels welcome and represented and I’d love the chance to be your Welfare Officer! ⚽💜
