Hi, I'm Quynh An, and I’m a first year Biological Sciences student.

I've really enjoyed being a member of Ice Club this year and being able to meet so many friendly figure skaters and ice hockey players! I’d love the chance to get further involved in the society by being part of the committee.

As a first year student and a beginner figure skater, I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to join new societies, and I have really appreciated everyone being so friendly and welcoming, especially within my ice family. Uni can be overwhelming, and Ice Club has been a place where I can make new friends and de-stress from the week, so I want to make sure that everyone in Ice Club has the same experience of feeling confident and welcomed.

I’d love to contribute to this welcoming environment, and I’m a really friendly person so I want to help make sure everyone feel as comfortable as I did when I joined, and be there for anyone who feels a bit lost, or even for anyone who just wants to chat and make friends!

As your WO, I'd love to make a welcoming environment to get our Freshers and newcomers to join and STAY!! Ice club and training is a lot of fun so for our current members - to make sure we're all making the most of it, enjoying ourselves and not letting game / competition pressure get to us TOO much, and have that society-uni balance.
