Dance Society: Publicity and Design Officer

My passion for dance started when I was all but three years old, taking my first ballet class. Ever since then, I have been both a dancer and rhythmic gymnast at several studios, dancing and choreographing alongside many people. In all my years of experience I have never encountered such a positive energy within an incredibly talented group like the UCL Dance Society. It is truly inspiring to see how welcoming and supportive this team is to all its members; I hope that in running for the Publicity and Design Officer, I will be able to bring that same spirited energy to the committee.

In addition to that, I hope to bring my marketing experience and artistic abilities to this role. I have always enjoyed collaborating on creative projects, having designed numerous digital posters and logos for my high school’s student council Instagram (with many thanks to Canva).

I am standing because I am passionate about marketing as much as I am about dance. I believe that I can bring original and innovative ideas to the committee while taking on all the responsibilities of the Publicity and Design Officer with confidence.

I have had an amazing time at dance society for the past two years and I’m really hoping that I can get a bit more stuck in!! The publicity and design role is exactly up my street. I am hoping to pursue a career in Marketing so this would be the perfect opportunity to show off my skills! I’ve been in charge of the PPE society’s instagram for the past year and have really enjoyed it so far and can imagine I would love doing the same for dance society :) I honestly find making the instagram posts, organising colour schemes and seeing all the posts line up so satisfying. I think creating the posts and designing any merch would be such a good creative outlet outside of my uni work too. I know this role can be quite demanding at times but I really thrive on a busy schedule. I am the self-proclaimed queen of time management and think I’d be really good in this role! All I hope for is to help make dance society the fun and exciting society it is already known to be
