Julia Bispham

Hey I’m Jules :)

I have absolutely loved cheer this year and the amazing community so would love to give back and run for publicity officer!

I think I would be a good candidate for the role as I have good communication and organisation skills and am committed and super enthusiastic about cheer.

As publicity officer, I would like to utilise different platforms more and participate in different tiktok trends as a team. I have found lift ups after training and snaps so helpful for morale and giving the team an extra push. I have seen a couple teams from other unis do cheerleader of the month and would love to start that in lightning to give an extra push of motivation. I would also love to showcase more of our amazing achievements and skills on social media and post more from socials run by our great social secs.

I also already have a bit of experience with editing and the necessary tech skills for publicity. I have made a website for history and have created my own virtual exhibition and museum space for my course so I would feel confident working on the cheer website and making creative posts for social media.

I would love the opportunity to be on committee and be able to be more creative again. Thank you for considering me!!!

Lily Ganzorig

I joined cheer this year from the engaging events that the club organised and promoted so effectively. I want to add to this year’s success by using my experience from previously managing the Unite Students social media account combined with my passion for design to creatively promote cheer to non-traditional audiences. Using all our platforms, I aim to not only showcase the athleticism and excitement of the sport but also highlight the fun and vibrant community that surrounds it. Collaborating closely with the committee, I will ensure that all promotional strategies align with the club’s vision, bringing the inclusivity and enthusiasm we already have within our club to our online presence as well.

Hannah Craig

I’m standing as when I joined cheer, I remember looking at the instagram and seeing all the cool stunts and socials and being really inspired to try out. The instagram also gave me the information I needed to attended try-outs so I understand how influential and important social media can be for inspiring new members and keeping current members up to date. I’m very creative and organised and would utilise these skills as publicity officer. I would enjoy creating and posting content for the club to attract new members and capture the exciting events for the current members. I would love the opportunity to get involved with promoting the club and showcasing how great it is and how talented all the members are on the social media.

Diane Le Rouic

Hi! I’m Diane and I’d love to be your Publicity Officer!

Some of you might not know me as I am on my year abroad so here’s a little about me: I joined the club in 2021, I have been in Spark and Strike, and was Merch & Sponsorship Sec (2021-22) before becoming Treasurer (22-23).

I am running for Publicity Officer to help the club improve its social media alongside ensuring potential new members learn about us in time for tryouts and tasters. I also wish to keep current members and alumni updated about the club’s events and performances via normal Instagram posts, reels and TikTok.

As treasurer, I partially assumed this role and enjoyed showing an aspect of the club to the world that only we, members, can see. I also understand the importance of good and clean social media to potentially attract sponsors for the club and thus reduce costs for you! Finally, I was Marketing VP of EFS in my 2nd year so I understand the importance of meeting deadlines and I have the Photoshop/Canva skills to create infographics.

My goals:

  • Post summaries of the year during summer (eg TikToks and pictures) to market the club to incoming First Years
  • Post regular updates of team training (like AllStar Clubs) to encourage people to join for T2 (Varsity)
  • Make posts ahead of time to leave enough warning for members to join the activities and post story reminders of the events happening weekly
  • For us to have social media to cherish and to relive the memories of a cheer season

Lightning love 💜⚡
