Himanshu Keshari

Hello members! I’m Himanshu Keshari, a first-year economics student by profession, a leader by passion, a changemaker by choice. My vision is clear - creating Bizsoc's global footprint in entrepreneurship.

I plan to prioritise the following areas as your Bizsoc Society President.

Wide-ranging Opportunity Platform:  We will host several events, including stock trading simulation, annual global case study competition, stock pitches for Bloomsbury Capital, global business conference 2023, and funding Bizsoc’s own incubator projects.

Inclusivity and Diversity: We will make sure that students from all backgrounds and communities are represented in Bizsoc’s events and opportunities, thus breaking the barriers.

Transparent and Democratic Leadership: Devising clear communication channelsmember votes in decision-making, quarterly feedback reports and facilitating freedom of information requests.

One Team and One Family: We will ensure that you feel you belong here by creating a volunteering platform for delegating meaningful responsibilities. And yes, we will party hard!

Skill Enhancement and Speaker’s Series: What unites us? Desire to learn and grow. Together, our committee will actively organise exclusive training sessions, Nobel lecture series and Forbes 30U30.

My vision is supported by my leadership experience as the school’s student council president and UCL’s first-year academic rep. As the winner of 5+ national case study competitions, I have gained analytical and business acumen. And having participated in 20+

Sunny Qian

Hello! I'm Sunny, the current treasurer of Hedge Fund Society.

Through actively joining several exciting events such as the Impact Investment Challenge, and winning my division in the DECA Case Study Competition, I was motivated to run for the President of the Business Society. I wish to explore the various opportunities we may be exposed to and take leadership in organising even more inspirational competitions and conferences here at UCL.

My main agenda will be as follows:

  • Consolidation: Introducing more technical sessions such as Stock Pitch Competition, Workshops and Finance Bootcamps. Having gained spring offers from J.P. Morgan, RBC Capital Markets, KPMG and Maven Securities, I am confident in working on the fundamentals to help our members gain a steeper learning curve.
  • Expansion: I will continue to capitalise on and further expand our connections and leverage our network by building a stronger brand image to introduce our members even more talented people. By expanding our pool of sponsor firms, we can gain firm-specific insights that are beneficial to our members.
  • Diversification: Exploring more potential sponsors from across the industry to bring you even more opportunities beneficial to our members.

By voting for me, I will use my diverse experience, along with my academic motivations, to restructure the Business Society for the better and maintain our value as the one-stop society for all interests in UCL!

Anusha Aggarwal

Hi everyone! My name is Anusha, and I am a Politics and International Relations student, running to be your BizSoc President.

As one of this years' First Year Reps, I have realised the key foundations on which BizSoc is built. Through involvement in events such as DECA and the IIC, I've come to learn that BizSoc proudly promotes inclusion and Collaboration. As your President, I would enhance the great work the society already does, as well as introduce new things to it.

With your vote, this is what I will strive to achieve:

  • Collaboration - BizSoc is an diverse place in many ways. I would encourage more event and insight collaboration with societies within the Guild and externally, to ensure members are exposed to the many fields within Business.
  • Learning - I would work with the rest of the committee to set up a commercial awareness podcast or blog. Regardless of career plan, it is vital to keep up with financial affairs, and I want to ensure this is easily accessible to all members.
  • Application aid - As President, I would increase the amount the society does to help its members with the various types of applications, including interview prep, CV and Case Study workshops.
  • Social - I would introduce a range of social events for the society throughout the year, for members to meet in a relaxed environment.

As your President, I promise to introduce a greater range of new opportunities and continue to build and develop the society to the best it can be.

Aruzhan Mominbayeva

I love entrepreneurship, I believe it is one of the way to try different jobs while having only one diploma. Business major students can start business in any field starting from medicine and ending by spaceship construction. Business is my true passion, because it also allows people to reach a financial freedom in a short period of time.

I will be honest to say that I have never heard of any activities that business society held in UCL and even though I am one of the members, unfortunately I have not attended any yet. My goal is completely to change that. I want to attract as many prospective entrepreneurs that study in UCL  as possible. Together we could build a strong international community where people think critically and work hard.

I am originally from Kazakhstan and I have worked 5 years in renewable energy field. I have gained experience and great management skills during this time, I want to exchange knowledge with my peers and see what we can do as team. There are so many opportunities that we have as students, we may join internships, participate business competitions and even become creators of next "Facebook". I want to meet new people and encourage them to be active right now, not after graduation.
