Netball Club: Events Secretary

Hi, I'm Lon!
As a member of Netball with serious experience on the social side of things, I think I would be well suited to the role of Events Secretary. Despite experiencing a bit of a drought of social events (cough, covid), this has only increased my readiness to make next year's NetBall the hottest event of the season, with more cocktails, mocktails, music and fun to be had. From organising bashes (down to the very last meticulous detail, of course) to helping out at large organised sporting events, I feel prepared to take on the pressure of such an acclaimed legacy of social and sporting events at UCNC. I would love to use this platform to create a new event for 2023 in aid of charities close to the society and voted for by its members, as I believe this aspect of netball at UCL is one of the most valuable and representative of its commitment to the community. You can find me in various disguises on the dancefloor as a well-seasoned Scala veteran, and I'm hoping to use both the positives and negatives from my Wednesday socials experience to create a night rivalling those at Scala. So put me first to quench your party thirst!

Hi, I’m Signe and am running for events sec!! 

Firstly, I would love the opportunity to be more involved with ucl netball next year. I am super organised so feel I would be capable of arranging the end of season Netball Ball as well as the inter club charity tournament. It would be amazing to get everyone in the club involved in these events and make sure everyone feels welcome and included. 

Secondly, being part of the netball committee gives me the chance to get more stuck into ucl netball and return the love I felt in my first year. 

As events sec I would like to add more options for non-alcohol drinkers at the ball and ensure the inter club tournament includes as many other clubs as possible. So all I have left to say is…
