UCL Surgical Society aims to provide students with all the relevant information about what a career in 21st Century surgery entails. We run a variety of practical workshops, which range from basic suturing to advanced suturing sessions (e.g. tendon repair), and also organise a series of highly informative talks delivered by both nationally and internationally recognised surgeons. We run specialty-specific skills and careers sessions throughout the year and our flagship event, the International Undergraduate & Foundation Surgical Conference (iNUGSC), is not to be missed. We also run a successful annual Women in Surgery Conference, and  ran the Inaugural UCL Plastics & Maxillofacial Surgical Conference this year. We also run Tutorials for Medical Students from Years 1-5, and a shadowing scheme (where you can shadow aa specialty in theatre) for medical students who are members on
