The UCL Folklore Society celebrates folklore from around the world. “Folklore” refers to the traditional beliefs, customs, stories, and practices passed down orally from one generation to another within a community or culture. It is an umbrella term used to encompass the following & more: folktales, myths and legends, the supernatural, seasonal traditions and calendar customs, folk arts and crafts, popular belief and superstition, plantlore, folk medicine and witchcraft.

Join us in the new academic year (2024/5) for an array of events from folkcraft workshops to ghost tours to folkish fieldtrips!
