Christmas Eve is the biggest surplus food waste day of the year. Join LifeAfterHummus on 24th December to help collect as much food as possible from roughly 12 local supermarkets to stop it from going to waste and redistribute it to 13 local causes: hostels, after-school clubs and faith groups. Help to cheer on 500 BMX-riding Santas on 16th December at The Santa Cruz 2023 with ECHO. They have two shifts available for volunteers. You can join them from 10am-3pm to see off the riders and collect donations. You can also help out from 3pm-8:30pm at their after party, making tea, clearing, and supporting the event! Sign up here!

Support C4WS Homeless Project on New Year’s Day at one of their Winter Shelters. These shelters run each year from 1st November – 26th March, providing vital support to the local community during the coldest months of the year. If you’re available for a day between 27th December – 5th January, why not join Solidarity Sports at their Christmas Holiday Project! Solidarity Sports harnesses the transformative power of play and exercise to help vulnerable children recover from complex trauma. At their Holiday Project, volunteers will help to build positive relationships and play with children in a variety of fun activities.
