It’s finally here, Welcome Week 2021. We’re really excited to welcome you all to (or back to) this wonderful place we call home.

If you’re joining UCL this week as a new student, or if you’re getting to campus for the first time – we’ve got lots planned to help you settle in.

But first, if you’re not sure what a Students’ Union is, here's a super-quick run-down of the kind of things we do... support hundreds of incredible clubs and societies, help you make a difference through volunteering, run a huge sports programme, give you help and advice when you need us, run 1,000’s of events throughout the year, run lots of places to eat, drink and chill in, and most importantly, help you make a positive change to the world around you. We’re led by students, just like you. In fact, six students were elected to lead the Union this year. Say hi. If you’re a student at UCL, you’re a member of the Union – congrats! We’ll help you make the most of your time here, support you every step of the way, and make sure UCL works for you.

There’s so much going on this week, we thought we’d highlight the big events happening on campus:

On Monday 27 September, we’re focussing on all things Sustainability. Check out the Sustainability Fair in the quad, plant sale in the Cloisters and book a spot at the Cycle Cinema in the evening. On Tuesday, our cultural societies take over the main quad, with a food festival, live performances and workshops. TeamUCL takeover on Wednesday with a day of sports, demonstrations, and a chance to meet all of our sports clubs. On Thursday it’s the turn of ArtsUCL - our collection of incredible arts societies. Come for live music, dance and drama live on stage. Then to wrap up Welcome Week, the Welcome Fair weekend on Saturday 2 October and Sunday 3 October

Browse through the events here. There really is something for everyone this week – from Walking tours to yoga classes. Big nights out to BBQs. Events are open to all, most of them are free to attend and there are many taking place online for those not able to join in person.
