The Community Research Initiative (or CRIS for short!) is all about taking your research and study skills from classroom to community. Our Research Volunteering programme allows you to volunteer your brain with local charities to help solve real world problems.
Projects are designed with students in mind, making sure you have time to flex your hours around your studies, and develop your skills to take you further. Our team offers 1:1 support throughout the experience and offers training, advice, and gidance on how to make the most of these volunteer roles.

About the Community Research Initiative
The Community Research Initiative is a part of the Students' Union Social Impact Team. We bring people together across the student-community divide to explore the possibility of creating socially impactful research with and for the community. From discovering new ways of working to co-creating research with local communities, we are here to walk with students through their community research journey.
