Meet local Community Organisations in Student Volunteering Week
Interested in Volunteering but not sure where to start? Swing by the Institute of Education to speak to 3 of our partnered Community Organisations about their volunteering opportunities.
Between 12-3pm, you'll be able to meet and talk to these local charities:

The Kids Network: Change a Little Londoner’s life today
The Kids Network is a community of children and volunteer mentors who connect through fun, curiosity and friendship for positive social change. Every child deserves a happy childhood and positive future.
Volunteer mentors provide a balance of fun and stability for our Little Londoners, allowing them to explore their identity and express themselves in a safe environment.
38% of London’s children are living in poverty, and 33% say they're unhappy with at least one aspect of their life. Take action to support our Little Londoners – and change your own life for the better.
Come along to chat about mentoring, and the problems children face in London.
WIILMA's is a grassroots community organisation who aim to build community cohesion & resilience, whilst tackling isolation.
They do this through innovative community education & awareness projects centred around Music, Arts, Crafts, History, Heritage and Culture. Their aim is to bring creative volunteers and professionals together with participants in the community, who want to connect with their own creative selves
Everyone has a right to high quality arts provision not just those who can afford it. By bringing people from different backgrounds together, they're building a more cohesive society, working to reduce health inequalities and increase better life outcomes for all.
Come along to chat about creative arts, heritage and community.

Educating children & young people through long-term illness.
Illness shouldn’t mean falling behind. Bright Futures UK provide learning support so young people can stay connected, confident, and on track with their education.
Every year, they support thousands of young people aged 5 to 24 through personalised educational programmes that nurture their academic, personal, and professional growth. Their services are completely free for young people who: have a diagnosed medical condition, have had their education disrupted by illness, are within school, college, or university age.
Come along to chat about Tutoring, Befriending, Mentoring and Workshops.
