Join Us for Festive Fundraising and Christmas Fayre Preparations at Centre 404
Centre 404 is a community organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and their families across Islington and the surrounding areas. Their work helps people build independence, develop skills and feel included in their local community.
Join us at Centre 404 to help prepare for their BIG GIVE Christmas Fayre! You’ll get involved in festive crafts, making items to sell, sorting donations and creating decorations to help get everything ready for the Christmas fundraising event.
This is a particularly important week for Centre 404, as all funds raised during their BIG GIVE fundraising week will be doubled, helping the organisation make an even greater impact.
🧤 What’s a Big Help Out?
Big Help Outs are fun one-off volunteering opportunities that involve a big group. It's all about small actions creating big change when we work together. At our events, you’ll always find friendly student and staff faces to make sure you feel welcome and supported.
💚 Why Join In?
Help a local community organisation prepare for its Christmas fundraising event. Your time and creativity will support Centre 404’s work with people with learning disabilities and their families, while helping raise funds that can go twice as far during BIG GIVE week.
To support your involvement, travel expenses will be reimbursed.
📍 Meet-Up Point
To make it easier to get involved, you can travel to the event with a member of our team. This is a great way to meet fellow volunteers, make new friends, and arrive together.

Please note: We will leave the Meet Point at a time to be confirmed, so please arrive on time. If you do not want to travel together, you can meet us directly at Centre 404.
By signing up, you’ve claimed a limited ticket. This ticket does not confirm your spot as we will send you an email closer to the date to let you know if you have been selected, as there are only a limited number of spots available.
👥 What to Expect
- Get Crafty: Make Christmas cards and festive crafts to sell at the Christmas Fayre.
- Prepare for the Fayre: Help create banners and make bases for items being sold.
- Sort and Organise: Sort donated clothes and bric-a-brac, and create labels to get everything ready for sale.
- Make a Difference: Support Centre 404’s fundraising efforts during BIG GIVE week, when donations and funds raised are doubled.
- Work Together: Join fellow students in a creative, hands-on session to help a local community organisation prepare for Christmas.
There may also be an opportunity to help out at Centre 404 for an additional hour on Saturday 5 December.
