Book a mechanic slot

Throughout the academic year we host our Bike Bonanzas - regular events open to staff and students where you can purchase, repair, and protect your bike, to help you travel to campus and around London sustainably. The event is held on the IOE Level 4 concourse, which is the outside space in front of the doors on the Woburn Square side of the building.

Bike repair and maintenance

Together with Camden Council, we provide free bike repair and maintenance for UCL students and staff. You must book a slot for a mechanic appointment; there may be a limited number of drop-in appointments on the day, but this is not guaranteed. For full information on what the mechanics provide, please book your slot using the link here.

Bike Sale

Westminster Wheels will be selling bikes and accessories such as helmets and locks. Bikes will be reasonably priced as they are second-hand.

Westminster Wheels is a community-focused charity and bike shop based in Westminster, established in 2020 to address the lack of affordable cycling services and support in the local area. Alongside providing low-cost bike repairs, refurbished bicycles, accessories, recycling initiatives and cycling advice, the organisation’s primary mission is to train previously unemployed Westminster residents as bicycle mechanics. Through accredited training, hands-on work experience and employment support, Westminster Wheels helps people develop valuable skills and progress into jobs or further education. The charity also promotes sustainable transport by repairing and reusing bikes, diverting waste from landfill, and donating bicycles and servicing to local community groups, making cycling more accessible, affordable and environmentally friendly for everyone.

Bike security

The UCL Security team will be present at the event, providing anti-theft advice to help keep you and your bike safe on campus and around London.
