Start the new term with a change of scenery! Looking to explore somewhere new, meet new people and make the most of a day away from campus? Join us for a trip to beautiful Cambridge, with punting, history and plenty of free time to discover the city.

About Cambridge

Cambridge is one of the UK’s most historic university towns, with roots going back over 800 years. The city is compact and easy to explore, with a mix of medieval lanes, green open spaces, and striking college buildings. It’s also a lively cultural centre, home to museums, galleries, and independent shops.

What to expect on the day:

Punting on the river Cam

You can’t really go to Cambridge without going punting, which is exactly why we’ve included it in your ticket! You’ll join a guided punting tour along the River Cam, travelling through the city on a traditional flat-bottomed boat while your guide takes care of the steering. Along the way, you’ll pass some of Cambridge’s most famous colleges, bridges and riverside scenery, giving you one of the best views of the city.

Free Time to Explore Cambridge

You’ll also have plenty of free time to explore Cambridge on you own and to spend the afternoon however you like. From wandering through the city to exploring the shops, there is plenty to do. One highly rated place to visit is the Fitzwilliam Museum, home to an impressive collection of art and history from around the world. From ancient Egyptian and Greek objects to paintings, sculpture and more modern works, there’s plenty to discover. Entry is free, making it an easy stop to add to your day if you fancy exploring somewhere new.
