Lecture Series: The Beginning of the Aeneid with Dr Fiachra Mac Góráin

We are kicking off our lecture series for the year with the Greek and Latin department's Dr Fiachra Mac Gorain on the opening of Virgil's epic the Aeneid!

This will be augmented by other material on Virgil the author, and, if time allows, how his work fits in to Augustus' grand propaganda programme.
