Our Prevention and Intervention team is running a series of relaxed, creative workshops for students who have experienced sexual or gender-based violence at any point in their lives.

Together, we’ll use a range of creative activities to explore the different ways we can stay grounded, helping you build a personal toolkit of techniques, self-care practices and sources of comfort. No artistic experience is needed, and you will not be asked to share any personal experiences.

Whilst these workshops might provide therapeutic benefits, we want to be clear that these sessions are not intended to act as a therapeutic support group for processing experiences. Instead, these are spaces to spend time with other students, connect through creativity, and take part in low-pressure activities focused on grounding, wellbeing and community.

We encourage you to join us for the whole series, however you are also more than welcome to just attend one or those which suit you. Click here to explore the other sessions in this series.

In our first session, join us to make your own personalised Grounding Bag. Choose from a range of sensory items and comforting objects to create your own bag you can turn to for moments of comfort, calm or reassurance.

You do not need any previous experience – you just need to come along, get creative and build a grounding bag that is uniquely yours.
