Come along for a movie night with RAX and Film soc!
We are showing ‘Race’ which is a biopic about Jesse Owens- a Black American sprinter: the film follows the true story of his life, the racism he faced and his incredible performance at the Berlin Olympic games in 1936. This is a great way to celebrate an iconic Black athlete and acknowledge the hardships he was forced to face and overcome.
We will also be selling some homemade sweet treats with all of the money going to BEO (Black Equity Organisation) who work to promote equity and equal opportunities for Black communities in the UK.
