- Hosted by Dementia Research Society
The Dementia Research Society, in collaboration with the Biochemistry Society, is delighted to host a talk by Professor David Attwell.
Date: 5 March
Time: 5:00–6:00 PM
Location: 421 Roberts Building
Since joining UCL, Prof Attwell’s research has spanned glutamate transporters, stroke, glial cell biology (including astrocytes, microglia and oligodendrocytes), capillary-level control of cerebral blood flow, and dementia. His work has been instrumental in advancing our understanding of how neurovascular dynamics influence brain health and disease.
In this talk, Prof Attwell will explore how cerebral blood flow regulation may represent a promising therapeutic avenue in dementia, shedding light on emerging mechanistic insights and translational opportunities.
We look forward to seeing you there!
