Curious about Europe’s future?
Join us for the fourth discussion of the year with European Horizons at UCL, the London chapter of a transatlantic, student-led think tank on European affairs.

You can also hear more about our committee, free roles for the upcoming by-election, projects, and opportunities - from our student newspaper Transatlantic Horizons to high-profile speaker events, embassy visits, and policy debates.

Discussion theme:
👉 East–West Divide: Has Europe’s Convergence Project Failed?

We’ll discuss how Europe’s centre of gravity is shifting eastward - from questions of power and values to the fading promise of economic and social convergence. Two decades after the large 2004 enlargement, has the EU achieved genuine unity, or simply revealed new East-West divides? No prior expertise is required - just bring your curiosity and an open mind!

Whether you study politics, international relations, law, economics or simply have an interest in Europe’s future, come along, share your views, and help us shape an engaging year of discussions ahead!
