Get the best seats in the house for the World Cup 2026.

Suitable for groups from 2-10 people you can make sure you don't miss any of the action by booking a table for you and your friends in Phineas for the match. You'll be asked to purchase a ticket which will act as a deposit to secure your table, when you arrive you'll then be able to claim a drinks voucher equal to your deposit which you can spend on drinks at Phineas during the game. Your table will be available 1 hour before the match. You must arrive 15 minutes before the match kicks off, if you arrive after your table booking will be released. Important Information:  

Booking and Payment

• The table you have booked is the maximum amount of people allocated to a table.
• Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received.

Refunds and Cancellations

• Bookings are non‑refundable within 7 working days of the event.
• You wont be refunded if you have arrived late your table has been released. You will be able to still claim your drink voucher for use at the fixture.

Arrival and Table Holding Policy

• Your table will be held until 15 minutes before the start of the match.
• The lead booker will need to collect the drinks voucher from reception (25 Gordons Street) 
• Late arrivals are not guaranteed seating.

On-site Conduct 

• Guests must follow all venue policies, including responsible drinking guidelines.
• Any disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the venue without refund.

Age and ID Requirements

• Phineas Bar operates under UCL’s licensing rules. Valid ID may be required for entry or alcohol service.
• Anyone under 18 will be refused entry.

Seating and Viewing

• While every effort is made to provide a clear view of the screens, specific seats or screen positions cannot be guaranteed.
• Standing guests may be present in the venue during busy matches.

Event Changes

• In the event of technical issues, schedule changes, or unforeseen circumstances, Phineas Bar reserves the right to amend or cancel screenings.
• If the venue cancels the event, refunds will be issued.

Personal Belongings

• Guests are responsible for their own belongings. The venue accepts no liability for lost or stolen items.

Photography and Atmosphere

• The venue may take photos or videos during screenings for promotional purposes.
• If you prefer not to appear, please inform a staff member on arrival.

Bar Policy

•  ID is required
• Please note that you must be over 18 to enter our bars and purchase alcohol. Please bring a valid proof of age (Driving licence / Passport)
• Any non students must be signed in by a UCL student (one per student) UCL students must have a valid UCL ID. UK students are welcome with valid student ID. . You cannot bring in, consume, or sell your own drinks. If you do they will be confiscated and destroyed. This could also result in being asked to leave and/or a barring.
• Any vandalism, theft, threatening behaviour, physical assault, verbal abuse, abuse of fire safety rules, possession of drugs, drunk to the point of removal, indecent exposure or smoking in venue may result in being barred from ALL Union venues, disciplinary action and or a team ban.
• All non-students must be signed in by a UCL card holder.

Located on our Bloomsbury campus, Phineas can be found on the third floor of 25 Gordon Street.

Do you have to book at table?

No, you do not have to book a table to watch the games, however, this does not guarantee you a table. We will have additional seating which is unreserved for walk in's. 

I'm running late for my booking

Unfortunately, due you are over 15 minutes late to your reservation your table will be released. You will be able to receive your drinks vouchers if you're over 15 minutes late.

Can I cancel my table booking? 

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable within 7 days. If you would like to cancel before 7 days of the event. Please email [email protected] and complete the refund request form.
