Opportunity: Client Engagement Volunteer (Home for Good)

Home for Good is an exciting, volunteer powered pan-London project. We aim to reduce the isolation that clients often experience when they are resettled, and thereby reduce the number of people who abandon their accommodation and return to the streets. Through the involvement of volunteers, the service empowers clients to put down roots and thrive in their new communities.

Opportunity: Digital Inclusion Volunteer

The Employment, Training and Welfare Rights Team (ETWR) helps our clients find employment. We recognise that our clients are often far from the labour market and so we help them at every stage of their journey back to work.

The ETWR team plays host to 20 computers for clients to access. As well as using these to apply for jobs and training opportunities, we also allow clients to surf the web, contact their friends and family through social media/email and stay digitally connected.

Opportunity: Short-Term Tenancy Sustainment Volunteer

The Assessment and Advice Team are responsible for assessing clients’ needs and determining how those needs can be met. The team also provides housing advice, making referrals into accommodation and advocating on clients behalf when they may be entitled to statutory housing provision.

Opportunity: Warm Welcome Volunteer

The Warm Welcome Team are responsible for ensuring the centre is a safe and welcoming environment for clients, volunteers and staff. The team provides the initial contact for clients entering the Resource Centre centre and establishes the needs of clients by way of informal engagement and initial assessments. They tell clients what services are available and how to access them. They provide support with the laudary services, clothing store and cloakroom. The team also monitors the health and safety of the Resource Centre.
