Description: Camden Canals and Narrowboats Association is looking to improve our website content and develop a more integrated booking system. This will allow a mix of different booking types, as well as an exportable booking overview so that we are able to further understand our upcoming bookings and income.

Duties

Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting the Marketing Officer in creating an easily updatable interface for website backend, making the upload of content simpler (website is currently hosted on Wix).
  • Ensuring that technical SEO is being respected in the website architecture to ensure maximum visibility of the website within Google.
  • Incorporating outbound links throughout the website, where relevant (for example: social media handles, review sites, further information etc.)
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure any content that is created is of a high standard and historically accurate.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
Members of this group will be expected to work closely with the trustees, the executive, the outreach team and the historical team to ensure good quality, informative and accurate content.
Training
1-1 coaching once a month with the Marketing and Media Officer, who has over 13 years marketing experience.

Time commitment

We have no fixed requirement for the hours on this project, aside from a monthly check in with one of the team to review progress and assess goals. We do kindly ask that projects are completed in a timely manner
