Cristina Fiani is a third-year Biomedical Engineering student.  She spoke to us about her experience of volunteering with Bookmark and Girls Friendly Society and how the benefits of volunteering goes both ways.

We all need it, a little bit of help - so that's why our Advice Service is here to offer you free and confidential advice. Undergraduate or postgraduate, from the UK or overseas, straight out of college or returning to study, the Advice Service can help and support you through any of your worries.

LB is the project leader for the Amnesty International Volunteering Project. Earlier this year, before they could deliver their sessions in schools, all volunteering was shut down due to COVID-19, so they came up with the idea of delivering video classes.
How to certify a copy of your Hard Copy Award Certificate
Award Certificates are legal documents, so there should only ever be one in existence at any one time. This means that you will often be asked to provide a certified copy of your Award Certificate if applying for a job or another academic course. Unfortunately, UCL does not certify copies of Award Certificates, so you will have to seek this service elsewhere.
UCL announces immediate denaming of spaces named after eugenicists
This is just the first step of a long-term process for UCL to make-amends for its deeply troubling ties to eugenics and institutional racism. Thank you to all the students, activists and staff, whose tireless efforts over many years made this a reality.
