Sports Rep
You will be a member of the Students’ Union’s democratic meeting, Activities Zone. You will be participating in debates and shaping projects to improve student activity at UCL.
Five positions are available, which will aid the Sports Officer in developing the following areas!
- Sports Night - Being a point of contact for Milkshake promoters/ SU bar managers and passing on student feedback.
- Campaigns - Working closely with TeamUCL staff to lead the way on new and existing campaigns.
- Alumni & Events -Expanding our alumni networks through the Mandy Walker games and supporting fundraising initiatives at a club level, working to increase the engagement of our mass-participation events like the campus run, and the swimathon.
- Volunteering & Workforce Development - Supporting clubs to expand their volunteering initiatives and developing and supporting our student coaching network.
- Facilities - Being a contact for advocating for better facilities for TeamUCL and attending the Somers Town Sports Centre User Group and Bloomsbury Fitness User Group, representing students.
You will also work closely with the Activities & Engagement Officer, in addition to the following Sports Officer on particular projects.
Your Responsibility
- Represent the voice of relevant sports/societies/volunteering
- Be an active member of the Activities Zone
Your Eligibility
Sports/Society Rep - You will be an active member of either a Sports club or a Society.
Time Required for Role
These are part-time, unpaid positions. You are expected to attend Activities Zone meetings and a range of additional events, approx. 10-15 hours per term.
