A practical toolkit of exercises and techniques to help you achieve peak performance
Have you ever struggled to bounce back from disappointment or maintain focus when the pressure is on? In these moments, it can feel like your body takes over - nervousness, rapid breathing, and tense muscles cloud your thinking right when you need clarity most. Imagine if you could take control, using simple techniques to reset your body’s response, enabling you to respond rather than react.
Recognising stress is only half the battle. In this practical one-hour in-person session, inspired by insights from the award-winning ENO Breathe programme, you’ll dive into hands-on exercises that bridge theory and practice, effectively closing the gap between knowing and doing. Focusing on posture, breath, and voice, you’ll learn how to shift from a stress response into a state of focused calm - right when you need it.
Facilitated by Suzi Zumpe, a seasoned educator and the creative director behind ENO Breathe, this session is crafted to be accessible and immediately effective. No prior knowledge or experience is needed - just bring an open mind and a willingness to experiment. Join us to master exam pressure, unlock your potential, and gain skills that will benefit you well beyond the classroom.

What is ENO Breathe?
We are privileged to be teaming up with the English National Opera, whose award-winning Breathe Programme was originally developed to support people recovering from COVID-19. For this session, however, the focus will be on managing stress and anxiety in high-pressure situations. Using techniques from the programme, you’ll explore how the body responds to stress and learn practical strategies to stay in control. Through breathwork and posture adjustments—guided by methods used in vocal training—you’ll discover how to calm your mind and body when it matters most. No singing or prior experience is required.
How will this help land a job?
This event will equip you with practical tools to manage stress, enhance focus, and perform at your best under pressure—essential skills for your future career. By learning techniques focused on posture, breath, and voice, you’ll gain better control over your body’s responses, helping you stay calm and clear-headed in high-stakes situations like exams, interviews, and the workplace. These skills will boost your resilience, confidence, and ability to excel in any professional path you choose.
