Discover Project Active Bollywood Dancing

What to expect at Project Active Bollywood Dancing:

To celebrate International Festival, we're hosting our very own Bollywood Dancing class! 💃This is a great opportunity to learn more about the culture and history of Bollywood Dancing. 

This class is open to all UCL staff and students and are designed to be:  

  • Beginner friendly (no experience is needed)
  • Low commitment
  • Inclusive and welcoming
  • A great place for making new friends  

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a friendly Project Active instructor who will check your ticket sent to your email. You will have a chance to have a quick chat and get to know other participants before beginning your class!

Class Structure:

  • Warm up
  • Intro on Indian culture and Bollywood dance
  • Teaching Mudras (Indian hand gestures)
  • Learning a Bollywood dance routine with people working together to create a short performance at the end of the class.

All music will be provided by us, with the latest hits from Bollywood which are used in the movies. Also, our instructor will wear a Bollywood dance costume and speak about the significance of the dress. They will also bring Indian scarves for all participants to dress up in.

Equipment:  All equipment will be provided at the class, please bring a water bottle with you.  

What to wear: Please wear clothing you feel comfortable in! We would encourage wearing loose clothing and trainers.

Refund and transfer policy:  All tickets are non-refundable unless there has been a class cancellation. Tickets cannot be transferred

Please note: You may not be able to join the class if you are more than 10 minutes late to the class, due to health and safety and disruptions. Please make sure you give adequate time to get to the venue.
