The Faculties Quiz puts the faculties head to head in pub-quiz-combat, to decide which faculty is the “Faculty of the Year”*. That aside, it also aims to be a fun event where departments, students, and staff can come together and enjoy a casual event in the spirit of wider community and competition.The rules and details of the Faculties Quiz 2026 are as follows
Rules
- All teams can have a maximum of 12 members
- Team Restrictions
- Teams must have at least 2 students for each staff member.
- Teams can have a maximum of 2 PhD and Masters students
- Teams can have as many Undergraduates as desired
- Undergraduates must be over 18 years old
- Team Restrictions
- Try to have a diverse team
- As many departments should be represented on your team as possible
- Make sure your team reflects the diversity that has shaped UCL through its 200 years!
- As many departments should be represented on your team as possible
- No Cheating
- And if you do cheat, please
- Do not get caught
- Win (otherwise there’s no point in cheating)
- Prostrate at Jeremy Bentham’s feet

- Behave in a respectful manner, despite the intense competition
- Have fun
