This event is meant to comparatively examine how migration is framed politically and socially across the UK and the European Union, focusing on the relationship between public sentiment, political discourse and policy outcomes. It addresses the growing securitisation of migration narratives in the UK, contrasts this with European political dynamics and explores how public opinion influences migration governance and future UK-EU cooperation. It will take on a panel format, and run with a section where planned questions are asked, and there will then be a section for audience Q&A.
