Kinesis Magazine is UCL's favourite and nationally recognised student Science Publication. We were shortlisted for "Best Science Piece" and "Best Science Publication" at the Student Publication Association National Conference for 2024. In addition, we have been shortlisted for "Diversity" and won "Most Developed Arts Society" in 2022, with recents wins in "Best Contributor to Media" and "Officers' Awards" for two of our longstanding members at the UCL SU Arts awards.
We are the home for thought provoking journalism and, short form podcasts which aim to intrigue all students at UCL about the work that is produced on campus, within London and internationally.
The magazine has previously been shortlisted for Best Science Publication at the SPA Awards multiple times as well as having won "Best Science Piece". We have also been shortlisted for Best publication at the UCL Student Union Arts Awards.

Our Writers and Editors, hold meetings every other Thursday at 6pm to brain storm ideas, review latest develops on campus and prepare our Termly Print Magazines. We have reviewed the links between Flow State and changes in MRI, the importance of LGBTQ+ representation on campus and how the Doctors Strikes' impacted learning and student wellbeing across the main sites at UCL. It does not matter if you have not written before or are a seasoned writer. Kinesis welcomes you!
In addition to the Features and News Stories, we publish our own independent highly commended podcast. The Team have produced several episodes each year, varying in length and focus. Our recent episodes have focused on CAR-T Cell therapy and the Science behind falling in Love. We open our subcommittee up each year in October, so even if it is your first time, we highly encourage you to have a go and bring your ideas to our world wide listeners. We publish two main issues per academic year alongside a special issue. Continuing on from the success of last year, our podcast is hosted on Spotify that members can contribute to.
