Running Man: Inspired by the popular Korean variety show, this event is packed with mini-games, challenges, and a thrilling final manhunt. Join the fun and compete with your friends to claim victory!
Chimaek & K-Movie/K-Drama Night: What’s better than indulging in Korean fried chicken? Doing so while watching your favorite K-movie or K-drama with fellow fans? A perfect night of delicious food, iconic moments from Korean shows, and good company.
Karaoke Night: Sing your favourite K-Pop tracks or belt out a ballad at our Karaoke Night, hosted at Mully’s Bar. Enjoy discounted drinks and a lively atmosphere with fellow K-Pop lovers.
Random Play Dance: A crowd favourite! Test your K-Pop knowledge and dance skills in our Random Play Dance sessions. When the music changes, so should your dance moves—can you keep up with the choreography?
Vibrant Nightlife: Our nightlife events are not to be missed! Whether you’re partying at Mully’s, Phineas, attending our K-Rave, or enjoying our exciting afterparties following showcases, we’ve got your evenings covered. Get ready for a night full of energy, music, and dancing that will make your student nightlife unforgettable.
Chill & Laid-Back Events: If you prefer a more relaxed vibe, we’ve got you covered with chill events like K-Pop Trivia Night, where you can test your fandom knowledge or compete against your fellow society members for prizes. We also host Photocard Customisation Sessions, where you can bring your own photocards to customise and swap them with fellow members. These events are perfect for winding down while still being immersed in K-Pop culture.
Weekly K-Pop Dance Classes:
We host two classes every week that cover both girl group and boy group choreographies. No prior experience is necessary — whether you’re a complete beginner or have danced before, we welcome everyone! Learn the hottest trending songs, improve your dance skills, and, most importantly, have fun! Our dedicated Dance Teachers will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel confident and engaged.
YouTube Dance Covers:
Be part of the spotlight! Our society is known for producing high-quality K-Pop dance covers on our YouTube channel. You’ll have multiple opportunities to participate in these covers throughout the academic year. We host in-person shoots for both beginner-friendly and advanced level performances.
Some covers are open for sign-up, meaning anyone can join, but be sure to be quick because it’s on a first come, first serve basis! Others are audition-based to ensure our highest level of performance.
Regardless, being part of these covers is a great way to meet people in the society and an even better way to showcase your passion and creativity, with plenty of behind-the-scenes support from our tech officers.

Showcases & Competitions:
Term 1 Showcase: This is our UCL-exclusive showcase, open to all members, regardless of experience. Whether you’re into dancing, singing, or just want to try something new, the Term 1 Showcase is a fantastic way to get involved. Everyone is encouraged to sign up and perform in front of an enthusiastic audience!
Term 2 Inter-Uni Showcase: In collaboration with King’s College London (KCL) and Queen Mary, we’ll host an Inter-University K-Pop Showcase at the prestigious Greenwood Theatre. This large-scale performance brings together the best of the London K-Pop community, and you’ll have the chance to demonstrate the full power of UCL on this shared stage!
Bloomsbury Theatre Performance: Term 2 also features an exclusive audition-based showcase at the historic Bloomsbury Theatre. This event is for our most dedicated performers and will require an audition process to ensure we put on the most spectacular show. Featuring both vocal and dance performances, this showcase will be one of the highlights of the year!
Competitions: Ready to take your skills to the next level? UCL K-Pop Society participates in national and London-based K-Pop competitions, where we compete against more than 15 universities across the UK. Our teams include girl group dance, boy group dance, and wildcard choreography performances. Auditions are held to select the best dancers to represent UCL on these stages — perfect for those who thrive in a competitive environment and love being on stage under the spotlight.
