Ahlan wa sahlan! 🌴✨ Welcome to UCL’s Egyptian Society — where the heartbeat of Om El Donya (Mother of the World) comes alive on campus!
We’re here for everyone — Egyptians, Egypt-lovers, and anyone curious to discover the beauty, flavour, and history of our land. Our mission is simple:
1. Share our culture – through unforgettable events, delicious food, music, and celebrations that bring Egypt’s energy to London.
2. Create a home away from home – a warm community where Egyptian students (and friends!) can connect, laugh, and make memories.
Expect Egyptian street food nights, film screenings under the stars, lively debates, and cosy evenings with tea and kahk (biscuits) that taste like home. We’ll dive into our ancient history, explore modern Egyptian life, and celebrate the creativity, humour, and warmth our country is famous for.
From the grandeur of the Pyramids to the bustle of Cairo’s streets, Egypt has a rhythm like no other — and we want you to feel it! 🇪🇬💃
Whether you’re here to reconnect with your roots, learn something new, or just enjoy good vibes and good food, our door is always open.
Follow us, join our group chat, and let’s make this year as unforgettable as a sunset over the Nile.
