The Bentham Brooks Institute (BBI) is the first student-led think tank based at University College London. The BBI was founded in 2020 by an alliance of 5 established UCL societies with the aim of bringing students closer to research and public policy by offering unique opportunities to step into these fields.
As a university think tank, we aim to inspire talented students to pursue careers in academia, think tanks, and the public sector. Through our yearly Research Programme we bring students together to produce high quality, peer-reviewed research papers providing concrete policy recommendations and pragmatic solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. We also offer our members several events and networking opportunities with leading national and international institutions such as the UK Parliament, the Civil Service, and embassies.
