Who we are:
UCL Art Society is a creative community and network that provides opportunities for artists and art lovers to meet, to learn new skills, and to maintain the creative habit amidst the demands of academic life. Anyone with a passion for art is welcome, regardless of skill level, style, or academic discipline.
We are not the same as ArtsUnlocked. We are a community of students with both beginners and more advanced artists. If you would like to make friends and support a student led initiative - we are the place to come to!
Our Events Include:
- Weekly life drawing sessions (only £5!)
- Fortnightly classes (only £3-5!)
- Weekly open studio
- Gallery trips and lates
- Sticker making
- Drink and draw
- Picnic socials
- Seasonal Events
- End of Year Art Showcase
We provide all materials. We also provide professional tuition for our regular classes. Our activities are among the most affordable in London.
Our Zine:
- Since the academic year 2024/25 the Art Society has published its very own zine - Compost!
- Compost accepts submissions from standard members of the society
- Contributions in every kind of media are welcome, including among other things painting, drawing, poetry, and photography
