External Trustees

Catherine Gabela - UCL Alumni

As an alumna of University College London, I chose to become a trustee to support current students in making the most of their university experience. I am also an MBA graduate of London Business School with a background in international business. I began my career in supply chain roles within leading FMCG and pharmaceutical organisations before moving into consulting with PwC UK and PA Consulting Group. Today I focus on executive coaching, advisory work, and governance roles.

Clare Bracey - Non UCL

Clare is currently the Director of Policy, Campaigns and Communications for Become, the national charity for children in care and care leavers. Clare has twenty five years’ experience working in the charity sector at a local, national and international level, successfully delivering campaigns to change legislation, policy and practice, along with a background in developing activist and capacity building programmes that promote a culture of learning, reflection and growth.

Clare is Director of Strategic Planning in the Office of the Vice-Provost at UCL.

Student Trustees 

Adam Cleary

I study Computer Science and learn poetry. I became a Trustee to represent Students and Student leaders who get involved in lots of societies at UCL, I hope that through taking action I can make things easier for other people.

Rawleka Wilson

Rawleka Wilson is a student trustee and is currently studying for an MSci in Psychology at University College London. She decided to become a trustee to gain insight into how governance and finance operate within a charity, particularly one she has benefited from throughout her student life. After completing her masters, Rawleka hopes to pursue a PhD in Social Cognition or Neuropsychology.

Rohan Ahmad

Elected with the highest number of votes for the position of Lead Departmental Representative for Mechanical Engineering in his first year, Rohan pioneered 3 innovative events for his cohort, proactively resolved deeply felt academic issues and represented the department on a faculty level. Rohan was subsequently awarded the Rep of the Year Award for the Faculty of Engineering by the Vice Provost of Education and Student Experience. This year, breaking records for the highest number of votes, Rohan was elected as a Trustee for the union. Sitting on the Board of Trustees, he also serves on the Governance and Risk & Audit Committees ensuring decisions are made with student interests at heart
