Yoga and Meditation Club: Social Events Secretary

The Yoga and Meditation Club is probably my favourite and most consistent society at UCL. The timetabled classes, largely in the morning, allow me to start my day properly - and I have been a member since the first week of the first term. 

However, the Yoga and Meditation Club host more social events for us to better engage with our fellow yogis. The current family system provides a solid framework for future social events, and under the right management it can be a unique and enjoyable experience. 

I attended two socials with the Yoga and Meditation Club, but my favourite was the pub quiz with my yoga family. I intend on hosting these types of events more frequently in the 2024-2025 academic year, and I need your help to make this a reality. If this interests you, then please consider voting for me.

Hey guys! I'm Ava, your current outreach officer, and I am running to be your social events officer! Whilst I have really enjoyed organizing collaboratory events, I'm eager to take on a role that focuses on fostering a stronger sense of community within the society through fun and engaging events.I would achieve this by organising post yoga class events, especially on a Saturday, like brunch, coffee, picnics perhaps. I think these types of events would help members who meet in yoga classes get to know each other better and form new friendships. I also think the New Years dinner was a great idea this year, and I would like to organise events similar to this at the beginning of term 2, to help new members that join at the beginning of the term get to know each other and the other members, and create a comfortable and friendly environment! I hope you guys vote for me and I hope to get to know most of you next year as a potential committee member!
